Scheduling & History
Automate system cleaning and track your scan history.
Scheduled Scans
Set Kudu to clean your system automatically on a regular schedule.
Setting Up a Schedule
In Settings, configure:
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Daily, Weekly, or Monthly |
| Time | Hour and minute of day |
| Day of month | For monthly scans (1–28) |
How It Works
- Scans run automatically at the configured time
- If Kudu is minimized to the system tray, scans run silently in the background
- A notification appears when the scan completes, showing a summary of results
- For Kudu to run scheduled scans, it needs to be running — enable Auto-launch at startup and Minimize to tray in Settings so it's always available
Scan History
Kudu keeps a history of your last 100 scans so you can track what's been cleaned over time.
What's Recorded
Each history entry includes:
- When the scan ran
- Which categories were scanned
- How long it took
- Items found, cleaned, and skipped
- Space recovered (total and per-category)
- Any errors that occurred
- Whether the scan was manual or scheduled
Viewing History
Open the History page from the sidebar to see a sortable table of all past scans. The table auto-refreshes so you can watch a running scan's progress.
You can drill into any entry to see a per-category breakdown of what was found and how much space was saved in each area.
Exporting
Export your scan history as JSON for external analysis or backup.
Cloud Action History
If you use Kudu Cloud, there's a separate history tracking all remote commands — what was requested, when it ran, whether it succeeded, and a summary of the result.
