WSA app installs usually fail because the Windows Subsystem for Android, virtualization features, or related Windows components are not fully enabled or are in a bad state. It can also happen if the Amazon Appstore is outdated, your Microsoft Store cache is corrupted, or Windows is missing updates. In some cases, low disk space, broken app packages, or disabled virtualization in BIOS stop Android apps from installing correctly.
Common Symptoms
- Android apps stay stuck on Installing or never start downloading
- The Install button in Amazon Appstore does nothing
- WSA opens, but apps fail with a generic error message
- Amazon Appstore crashes or closes during installation
- You see messages about virtualization, compatibility, or missing components
