Your browser saves history, cookies, cached files, and other site data every time you browse the web. Over time, this data builds up on your Windows PC and can expose private activity, autofill old information, or make browsers feel cluttered. In some cases, corrupted cache or outdated cookies can also cause websites to load incorrectly or sign you in with the wrong session.
Common Symptoms
- You want to remove records of websites you visited
- Shared PC users can see your browsing activity
- Websites load old content or behave strangely
- You stay signed in to sites you expected to log out of
- Your browser feels cluttered with old search and form data
