Roblox
Roblox Player writes rotating runtime log files for launcher, patching, networking, graphics, and crash diagnostics, and on macOS it also stores temporary cache data under its app cache directory. Those files accumulate after game launches, updates, disconnects, graphics initialization, and client crashes, often leaving behind old diagnostic text logs and transient cached data that no longer help the current install. Kudu removes Roblox log files and temporary cache contents while leaving games, account sign-in, saved settings, and personal data untouched.
Why clean Roblox?
- Thousands of accumulated RobloxPlayerBeta and launcher log files can consume hundreds of megabytes, and users usually notice it as unexplained growth in AppData or Library storage
- Repeated disconnects, HTTP failures, and patch retries generate unusually large network and updater logs, so disk use keeps climbing after sessions with error code loops
- Crash and graphics initialization logs pile up after driver problems or bad experiences, leaving behind old diagnostics even after the issue is fixed and making cleanup tools report Roblox as using excessive space
- Stale temporary cache data on macOS can survive client updates and force Roblox to rebuild fresh runtime files, which often helps after long launch times, odd startup hangs, or repeated patch verification behavior
- Very large log directories slow down manual troubleshooting because current startup and crash details are buried under months of old entries, and users notice it when support asks for the latest log but the folder is cluttered
- After many play sessions across different experiences, verbose engine, rendering, and voice chat diagnostics create constant background file churn, which shows up as a bloated logs folder even though no games or inventory data are stored there
