How to Clear Microsoft Store Cache on Windows

Before You Clean

A Microsoft Store cache reset can help a specific Store problem. It is different from app data reset, account repair, or uninstalling an app.

Review and Clean Manually

1. Finish pending Windows updates and restart if required. Confirm whether the problem is the Store or an individual app.

2. Press Win + R, enter wsreset.exe, and let the Store cache reset finish.

3. Reopen the Store and retry the original operation. Avoid repeatedly resetting it if the issue remains.

4. Use Microsoft’s Store troubleshooting guidance for account, licensing, network, or installation failures. An individual app’s Reset control can remove its data and needs a separate decision.
