NVIDIA App
Built on an embedded Chromium/CEF interface, NVIDIA App stores browser-style HTTP cache files, V8 Code Cache bytecode, GPUCache entries, component and extension CRX packages, plus GraphiteDawnCache, GrShaderCache, and ShaderCache data used to render its UI and web-backed panels. It also accumulates settled logs under ProgramData as the app checks for drivers, loads account and rewards pages, and draws hardware-accelerated views. Kudu removes these disposable caches and logs while leaving your NVIDIA account sign-in, downloaded driver packages, settings, game assets, and driver state untouched.
Why clean NVIDIA App?
- Stale CEF HTTP cache data can leave the Home, Drivers, or Redeem panels showing outdated cards, missing banners, or pages that never fully refresh after NVIDIA changes web content
- Invalidated V8 Code Cache after an NVIDIA App update can cause a noticeably slow first launch, blank sections, or UI delays until the JavaScript bytecode is rebuilt
- GPUCache entries tied to an older graphics driver version can become invalid after a driver update, leading to flickering panels, black rectangles, or sluggish scrolling in the hardware-accelerated interface
