ChatGPT Desktop Logs
Diagnostic logs in ChatGPT Desktop accumulate under the app's LocalCache as rotating text and trace files created by the Windows desktop client to record startup events, renderer crashes, update activity, network retries, and WebView2 or app-runtime errors. These logs are useful for short-term troubleshooting, but older files no longer help the app run and can pile up after repeated launches, failed updates, or crash loops. Kudu removes only ChatGPT Desktop log files older than one week from the Logs folder, never conversations, prompts, attachments, account state, settings, or saved sign-in data.
