How to Fix It Manually

Restart your PC and network equipment
- Save your work and restart your computer.
- Unplug your modem and router from power for 30 seconds.
- Plug them back in, wait for the connection lights to stabilize, then test your internet again.

Check for apps using too much bandwidth
- Open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
- Click More details if needed.
- Go to the Processes tab and look for apps using the network heavily.
- Close anything unnecessary, especially cloud sync apps, game launchers, streaming apps, or large downloads running in the background.

Run the Windows network troubleshooter
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find Network and Internet and click Run.
- Follow the prompts and apply any recommended fixes.

Reset DNS and network settings
- Click Start, type cmd.
- Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
- Run these commands one at a time, pressing Enter after each:
ipconfig /flushdnsipconfig /releaseipconfig /renewnetsh winsock resetnetsh int ip reset
- Restart your PC after the commands finish.

Disable unnecessary startup and background apps
- Open Settings with Windows + I.
- Go to Apps > Startup.
- Turn off apps you do not need starting automatically.
- Then go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps and remove software you no longer use, especially VPNs, toolbars, or network-related utilities that may interfere with connectivity.

Update or reinstall your network adapter driver
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi or Ethernet adapter and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for drivers.
- If the issue continues, right-click the adapter again, choose Uninstall device, restart your PC, and let Windows reinstall it.

Reset the full network stack in Windows
- Open Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings.
- Click Network reset.
- Select Reset now.
- Restart your PC and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network afterward.
